Youth Leadership leaps forward

The next course will be held in August 2022

Our Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Course, has for 20 years, been managed and facilitated by Borderland Rotary on behalf of our Rotary District 1180. Because of Covid restrictions, the course was cancelled in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, the course is being managed directly by Rotary District 1180.

Borderland Rotary are to sponsor 2 students for this 2022 course.

It aims to give young people (16-18 years old) who have already shown some embryonic leadership skills the opportunity to further develop leadership and team-building skills.

The course takes place at the Arthog Activity Centre (near Dolgellau).

National awards and many personal accolades have been won.  For 20 years the experience and enthusiasm of Chris Bushnell and Paul Crosby have led this success.

Lucky participants are sponsored by their local Rotary Club.  Schools and Colleges can help, as it is best to make an application in writing, before selection interviews.

" A great week ! I was a bit nervous at first but so lucky to be selected. "

" I went with no great expectation but it turned out to be the best week of my life."

" My son left as an awkward teenager and came back as a confident young man.  I'm so proud of him."
