Club Social Activities

Throughout the year the Club organises a number of social activities, simply aimed at having a bit of fun.

Club Social Activities

Throughout the year we like to get together to enjoy each other’s company and have some fun. These are held at either at recognised venues, member’s houses or outdoors. Events vary according to member preference, some examples are highlighted below.

BURNS NIGHT – supporting our sister club of Bracknell raising funds for the Ghurkha’s whilst enjoying a traditional Scottish supper and a spot of Scottish dancing.

MEETING WITH OTHER CLUBS – each year we hold attend a dinner where the five local clubs get together for an evening of fellowship, food and entertainment.  We also have a District Conference where all the Clubs in the Thames Valley meet together over a weekend for social events and to learn about various charity opportunities and listen to inspirational speakers.

SKITTLES – A fun evening at a local venue.  Take out the stresses of the day on the skittles.

SLOT CAR RACING – A team event with a giant Scalextric, the skill is to keep the car on the track but if you do overshoot the hairpin bend will your team mates get there in time to get you back on to win the race.

SOCIAL QUIZ – A fun quiz!! With friends and good food.  Not too serious and lots of groans when the answers are revealed.

SUMMER WALK – A walk in the Berkshire countryside whilst completing a fun quiz finished off with lunch at a local pub.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH – An annual get together to celebrate the festive season.
