Pop Up Vaccination Centre at Canterbury Christ Church University

Members of Canterbury Sunrise assisted the NHS at their pop up vaccination centre at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Canterbury's Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust pop up vaccination centre on Sunday 20th June gave local Rotarians an opportunity for hands on service. Rotarians from local clubs came to the Centre from 08:00 and provided stewarding including our President Chris Barnett and prospective Member Andrew Aide.

Chris commented " It's good to be able to help out at this well organised @nhs.uk event. We have been helping with the vaccination programme from the start. It's interesting to see the ages coming down and last Sunday saw the first batch of 18-year-olds turning up, despite the rain and early hour! Special thanks to The Salvation Army in Canterbury who provided welcome bacon rolls and hot drinks from their Emergency Response team for our break; worth coming for this alone.
