St John Ambulance has an exceptionally long history as a charitable organisation. Indeed, it predates governments in providing medical aid, training and protection for citizens before government-run health services were established.
Covid, demographics, public finances and other factors are imposing huge strains on health and social care in Guernsey and elsewhere. St John therefore continues to evolve to address such pressures. CEO Heather Langlois and Retail Head Gina Gooding will explain why, how and the relevance to Rotary members.
