Christmas Charity Car Parks Are Back  !! – Rotary Club of Cambridge South

Applications For Grants NOW Invited.

The annual charity fundraising car parks run by the Rotary Club of Cambridge South in the Cambridge City centre, throughout the Christmas & New Year, are hoping to return again this year after missing out due to COVID in 2020.

Car Park organiser, David Ellis, said “we are delighted to be back this year. We hope many really worthwhile activities will benefit from the hard work and dedication of so many volunteers who help staff the car parks in their spare time and in all weathers.”

If this year you would like your organisation to benefit from the monies raised from car parks please obtain an application from the organiser, David Ellis at

The Rotary Club usually award grants of between £250-£3,000 to local charities and good causes

The car parks will run every Saturday & Sunday during December and during the days between Christmas and the New Year.

Funds donated by shoppers and visitors to Cambridge also go to The Rotary Foundation which, amongst other things, has played the lead role in the final eradication of Polio in all but one or two countries around the world.

David Ellis went on to say “We must thank Cambridge University’s Downing Site & Department of Chemistry who donate their car parks free of charge. Without their support the event would just not happen.”

Closing date for applications is the 30th September 2021.
