A Message from our President

Malcolm Sumner 2022-23

Our club has been a proud part of Aberaeron, local communities and of Rotary International, since 2003  We are a friendly, inclusive, dual gender, close knit and diverse cross section of our communities. We represent different professions, experiences, and perspectives but with a strong desire to work with others in order to address the challenges affecting our local communities. Aberaeron Rotary Club has always exemplified the Rotary motto, 'Service Above Self'.

The club meets on every Thursday evening. There are two evening meetings every month. The first Thursday is a Business Meeting; and the third Thursday is a ‘Speaker Night’. The remaining Thursdays are for fellowship, visits or social events. These events can be at a local pub or restaurant, visit to another Rotary Club, an activity night, visit another locally based group, tour a business or local attraction.

We are a very approachable group and would love to chat with you about Rotary and to explain just how satisfying it can be. You could be helping those less fortunate, and working alongside likeminded people, making a difference in our communities in and around Aberaeron.

We enjoy people's company and socail interaction. Face to face is what is needed to get over the 'social distancing', which was so alien to everyone during COVID. No on-line sterility when you are only talked at. You would be warmly welcomed and we could show how you would fit in to our Rotary 'Family'.

If you wish to experience the real Rotary in the community spirit why not come along and join us.

If you require any further information please contact Malcolm Sumner, Club President, on 07967-116632, or via email aberaeronrotaryclub@gmail.com.

I look forward to greeting you to possibly a life enhancing and changing experience.

Malcolm Sumner
