Climate Action

A community group dedicated to action on climate change for people who want to make positive choices for our planet. We’d like to get to know more of you in our community, share our upcoming projects and ideas with you and learn all about yours too. At our Rotary meeting on 29 September the speaker was Dr Richard Erskine of Nailsworth Climate Action Network. Richard has an early career scientific background and has carried out extensive recent study of the available scientific information on climate change. The pioneer scientists of Europe in the last 150 years have studied the earths atmosphere and known about radiant heat effects of the sun with the harmful effect of carbon dioxide in the air.

The harmful effect of carbon dioxide is contributed by 10% of the population of 50% addition and 50% population contributing 10%!

It was wide ranging talk with many questions including about heat exchangers, electric cars to achieve a zero carbon world.
