Sally Harris inducted September 2021

Sally Harris

Sally was born in Crookham Village and after a short stint away, (where she got as far as Alresford, near Winchester !), she returned to Fleet in 2009 and continued to get involved in the community.

Sally is a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT), gaining her degree at Southampton University. She has worked in all the local hospitals doing rehabilitation and now offers advice, helping to ‘make life easier’. She has her own business ‘Making a Difference’.

Sally is married to Jason (also a local lad) and they have two daughters, Catherine (17) & Eleanor (15).

When she is not walking the dog or acting as ‘taxi’, she keeps herself busy volunteering at a Hedgehog Rescue Centre in Yateley  (Mondays) and running the Red Cross Mobility Centre (Thursdays) in Fleet’s Hart Centre.

Sally has a vast network of contacts having previously worked locally with Riding for the Disabled, has trained a Guide dog, been a volunteer driver for Communicare and the Royal Voluntary Service (previously WRVS).  She is also on the Committee for the Crookham Village French Twinning Association (although she says her French isn’t that good !) and enthusiastically organises Fund Raising events whenever possible.

Sally describes herself as down to earth and ‘here to help’. We look forward to putting her skills to good use !
