Mossley Soup

Mossley Soup - sponsored again by Tameside Rotary

There were 4 very worthwhile projects pitching for funds at last night's Mossley Soup event and the eventual winners were the !st Mossley Scout Group who are converting the basement at their meeting place in Baden House as a 'safe space' in memory of one of their members, George Winterbottom, who sadly passed away earlier this year aged only 13.

Three of George's friends from the Scout Group participated in the presentation by speaking about how George had demonstrated acts of kindness to each of them and I got the sense that their project would help them in their grieving process.

The Scouts have created this garden area in Mossley as a tribute to George.

The total money raised on the night [including Tameside Rotary donation was over £1300!
