Tackling overgrown garden area - the final (hopefully) clear up.

We (Bradford West Rotary E-Group) are tackling an overgrown garden at Shibden Head Primary Academy. The aim of the project is to clear the overgrown vegetation to inspect what’s underneath due to neglect during the covid pandemic. A follow up will then be decided on by the school to restore and replant in the spring to make a nature area. It is hoped to make a time out area for pupils, maybe a reading corner and a sensory garden.

Following an initial rainy start a few weeks ago we were blessed with good weather for our second clearance of the nature garden. The e-group were joined by AnnE, Chris and Robert for a hard days work where we achieved full clearance of the overgrown vegetation.
The next part of the project will be to lay weed control fabric for the winter and in the spring  dig over the ground ready for a path to be laid.
