Young Chef 2021

Thursday 11th November saw the successful completion of our local round of the young Chef 2021 competition

This round was arranged by the Rotary Club of Hinckley Ambion (Mike Jewkes)  in conjunction with Dixie Grammar School (Clare Hannaghan) in Market Bosworth.

The competition was won by Lizzie Daniels who prepared a meal of homemade Tagliatelle with Arrabiata sauce followed by a dessert of Chocolate Mousse with Raspberries and piped shortbread biscuits.

The judging criteria comprise planning, costing, use of time, presentation and decorating the table as well as, of course, taste.

According to the judges, all of the competitors performed to a very high standard and all should be commended for their efforts

Lizzie will now go forward to the District Competition on the 5th February 2022 at Stamford High School, and she takes with her the very best of wishes of all of the members of Hinckley Ambion Rotary Club in her quest to win the District competition and go on to the National Final.

Particular thanks go to Mike and Clare for organizing our round and also to Rtn Judy Brookes for serving as a Judge.
