President's Night

Sat, May 7th 2022 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Highwoods Golf Club

After two years of cancellations because of Covid, the club was able to celebrate President’s Night. Rotary Club of Senlac President Geoff Gander, along with his wife Sally, hosted the evening at the Highwoods Golf Club in Bexhill. Guests included the District’s Assistant Governor, Graham Forster, President Elect George Mighall of St Leonards Rotary and Anthony Thomas, a Rotarian from the Bexhill Club. Following a superb meal and the Loyal Toast, proposed by Geoff Gander, Anthony Thomas proposed a toast to the Rotary Club of Senlac in which he praised the club’s friendliness, activities and fund raising particularly in relation to the Yellowmen. President Geoff responded proposing  a toast to the Ladies and Guests to which Geoff’s wife, Sally, responded and in doing so spoke about their very successful fund raising during the pandemic.

Following the various toasts, the Likely Lads duo played 60’s and 70’s music which encouraged a number of guests to take to the floor.
