Presents For Babies At HMP Peterborough

Christmas is a time for thinking of those less fortunate than ourselves. In this spirit, for several years Peterborough Rotary club has donated gifts at Christmas to the children in the mother and baby unit at Peterborough prison.

Blue Skies

"Phew...What A Scorcher". No jackets required! A hundred guests enjoyed a superb lunch, great company and the President's jokes. And raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and The David School, Sierra Leone.

Fun At Kids Out

Over 300 children from Peterborough schools had a day out at Wicksteed Park - organized by this Club, along with Peterborough Ortons. And a baseball cap and lunch were thrown in!

The David School - New Water Pump

Education Changes Lives - We have long supported this school in Sierra Leone, and, in December, donated £2,000. 400 girls and boys benefit from free education - and a chance to realise their potential, helping themselves and their country.

Old Postcards

We've been recycling for years. Various items are collected by the Club, and then passed on to organizations, including the Leprosy Mission here in Peterborough, for them to re-use or turn into cash..

December 2021: A wonderful 1,088 boxes donated, filled with clothes, toys, stationery, toiletries and household items, for distribution to people in far eastern Europe. THANK YOU!

After a Zoom event last year: some 60 rotarians and guests enjoyed dinner and a catch-up, concluding with the moving and joyous music from the Salvation Army. £800 donated for their work with those on the margins in our city.

90th Charter

The Club celebrated its 90th "Birthday" in style, with 90 guests enjoying entertainment, dinner, drinks and speeches at the Orton Hall Hotel.
