Brigg Inaugural Park Run

The inaugural Ancholme Valley Way parkrun attracted 222 participants. The formation of the event was sponsored by Brigg Rotary Club. Competitors came from far and wide such as Selby, Rotherham and Hull.

What a great success our inaugural Ancholme Valley Way parkrun was - 222 participants (not bad seeing as we weren't allowed to advertise it)! They came from far and wide, Selby, Rotherham, Hull, they seem to have a way of finding out these new events. Many commented how fab it was and that they'd never been to Brigg before but would definitely be returning - so that's good.
Thank you to Rotarian Brian Parker, Mayor of Brigg, for officially cutting the ribbon.
We had another special visitor, which was a super photo opportunity for the visitors a Seal - in the River Ancholme eating its lunch - Pike apparently!
