Help for Ukraine

Due to the ongoing events, we will be in the town on various occasions raising money for Ukraine. (keep an eye on our Facebook Page for full info)

Would you like to help Ukraine but are unsure how? Currently, Dartmouth Rotary is supporting Ukraine via Shelterbox, the DEC, and Physionet.

Shelterbox is a UK charity that responds to disasters and provides supplies that are relevant to the need at the time. As temperatures in these areas drop well below freezing at night, ShelterBox will supply items like blankets, mattresses, winter clothes, and heaters.

The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter, and medical assistance.

As people are forced to leave their homes, and families are separated – you can help with a donation to Shelterbox or the DEC through Rotary.

Physionet is a national charity working throughout the UK operating solely with a network of enthusiastic volunteers who assist with the identification, collection, repair, and packing of equipment before it is shipped, usually in 40 ft shipping containers, to countries around the world.

In the future, Dartmouth Rotary will use our Rotary contacts in Ukraine to define and prioritise further help as the crisis evolves.
