Rotary Friendship Tree

March 2013 - the planting party with the sapling

This is a Prunus Padus, or a Bird Cherry.

The planting was in response to the first worldwide promotion of environmental projects by Rotary in 2013. Prunus Padus was chosen especially, as it is attractive to insects and birds. It was planted in March 2013 and has thrived, as shown in the following pictures.

April 2017 - the developing tree

April 2019 - a grateful guest.

Mar 2021 - our Rotary sign.

May 2021 - the tree at its floral peak.
