Rotary Appeal for the relief of Ukrainian Refugees and injured

The Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland this week donated £1,000 to the Rotary Club of Warsaw  which is using the money together with money from other Rotary Clubs and individuals to purchase medical aid and other needs for refugees and those injured in Ukraine

After discussion of the options, it was agreed to donate £1000 from the Charity Account to the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis via the Warsaw International Rotary who are purchasing medical supplies through a Rotary Club in Germany.

The money will be transferred direct to Poland for immediate use, without any middle men, admin costs etc.

A number of club members have indicated they would like to add their own personal donation to the £1000 with the total to be transferred on Friday.

In cooperation with Narberth Rugby Club, Rotarians  are planning bucket collections at Narberth RFC on Saturday 12 March and on Saturday 26 March in Narberth town centre.

If you would like to contribute to our fund for the Ukrainian refugees and injured you can do so on our special donation website HERE

You can select as many of the various donation amounts as you would like. Every penny donated to this fund will be sent for the relief of Ukrainian refugees and injured

This is the message received from the Rotary Club of Warsaw, giving our donation through Rotary ensures that every penny goes to help those in need with Rotarians acting freely and taking no costs.

Thank you for helping us in these difficult times.
We believe the refugees reaching Poland are taken care off in the best possible way, while those left in Ukraine suffer tremendously.
We are currently organizing via a German Rotary Club a load of medical supply to be taken from Germany (there it is available) directly to Lwiw. The goods are for a local hospital treating civilians and soldiers in emergency which are wounded due to attacks. Such transports have been done already successfully. The remaining funds – if any will not be used for this - we allocate to refugees which crossed the border to Poland.
Please send your contribution to:
Rotary Club Warsaw Wilanow International
We keep you up to date with our actions and informed about the development.
Thank you for helping us helping!
With my best Rotarian wishes,
Matthias Renz
