Supporting the Ukraine through Rotary

We are supporting the refugee crisis in countries surrounding Ukraine and sending funds for medical supplies to the frontline in Ukraine

We sent an immediate payment of £500 to the Disaster Response Fund in March this year,(Until 30 April, all donations to this Fund were directed to local Rotary Clubs in those places offering support to the thousands of refugees pouring in from Ukraine and as this is a Rotary charity, every penny donated was prioritised for this purpose)  followed by a collection outside Morrison's in Newtown, and have opened a Just Giving page.  Overall we have raised about £1000 so far.

In April we sent a donation of £500 to Operation Sabre, who were supporting care of refugees flooding into Romania:

We also sent a donation of £500 to The International Rotary Fellowship of Healthcare Professionals who have Rotary contacts on the frontline in the Ukraine (to supply healthcare workers with equipment and drugs due to loss though bombing of their hospitals) and in Poland giving medical care to Refugees

Please support us with this in any way you can. Go to our Facebook page to donate through the Newtown Rotary Club:
