FUND RAISING AT THE CO-OP IN HORESTON GRANGE
The Rotary Club of Nuneaton held a fund raising event at the Co-op in Horeston Grange for two days just before Easter and both days were a great success.
As you can see from the photos the theme was Easter with the presence of the Easter bunny, (giving out mini eggs) this was a big hit with the children although some of the younger ones were not too sure!
The prizes on both days were a magnificent hamper, supplied by the Co-op, and a £50 voucher for Sunday lunch at Weston Hall Hotel provided by the manager of the hotel where our club members meet each month.
All Rotary members who took part enjoyed the experience and the Co-op customers joined in the spirit of the day and were extremely generous.
The four prize winners were amazed that they had won but of course were very pleased, when presented with their prizes.
The event raised a magnificent £630 which will go towards our two projects, "Kids Out" where we fund a day out at Twycross Zoo for the pupils of Oakwood Special School, and our major project this year which involves planting a mature tree for the Jubilee - and giving an Afternoon Tea Party for the residents and friends of the Independent Living Complexes in both Nuneaton and Bedworth. These will take place during the June Bank holiday celebrations.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Rotaty Club of Nuneaton, and being a part of these fun, events then please do get in touch with our Secretary, President, or in fact any of our members who will be happy to chat with you about the benefits of membership.
