The going was good, the enjoyment level was great and the winnings were....
Well, let's just say that no one has given up their day job !!!
Sixty plus Rotarians, their families and friends, gathered for a Race Night on Friday 22nd April 2022 at the Nuneaton Catholic Church Hall to find the winner of the "Not so Grand National" Cup.
Five teams each provided 5 jockeys for each race.
The winner of each race then competed in the final race of the night.
The winner of the final won £20 and the rest of the winning team received four tickets to the Main Stand at Warwick Races.
The course was designed and constructed by Tracey Walker.
The bar was organised by Michele.
The refreshments were provided by Perfect Platters.
Many thanks to them all for helping to make the evening special.
Everyone said they had a good time, and many said they would like the event to happen again.
This was another on of our fund raising events, and we are pleased to report that we raised £350 just from this one evening, which will go towards our project of planting a mature tree in the grounds of several "Independent Living Complexes" within the Borough and at the same time, we will also be providing a cream tea for the residents and friends to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
If you are interested in becoming a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Nuneaton, please do get in touch with our Preesident or Secretary, or speak to any of our current membership who will pass on your details.
