Attending Volunteer Expo Live at NEC Birmingham! May 2022

A great event with some 80 stands, inspirational speakers & more than a little representation from Rotary!


PDG & Member of Nottingham Rotary Club John Bendall spent the weekend of 7 & 8 May at Volunteer Expo Live - he reported that it was a great opportunity to meet new friends and grow Rotary! 

Highlights included:

Meeting Jennifer Jones, due to be the first Women President of Rotary International and attending her joint presentation with Nicki Scott our local Director which covered Rotary International's revised Mission Statement and 7 Areas of Focus

Congratulating Nottingham Rotaractor / Member Clement for being decorated at the Volunteer Expo at NEC Birmingham with a Sustaining Member pin by the Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Chair, ARRFC Adrian Faiers!

Host Ade Adepitan (a Polio survivor & Paralympic basketball player) introducing Ruth Leonard (Vision for Volunteering); Ben Cohen (Awareness of Bullying); and Chizzy Akadolu (Mental Health and personal affects with depression). 

Visitors had the opportunity to pack food boxes for Ukraine. 

It was great to visit stands hosted by charities & organisations that the Rotary Club of Nottingham supports including: Aquabox; Mary's MealsYouth competitions and support local schools & ️End Polio Now
