Jubilee Tea Party for Seniors

Thu, Jun 2nd 2022 at 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Together we helped celebrate the Queen's 70th Jubilee

Nailsworth Rotary helped local seniors to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by organising a right royal Afternoon Tea on 2nd June at the Arkell Centre. The event was supported by Nailsworth Town Council,

It was a popular event with 36 guests attending; they enjoyed a film of past local Jubilee events which had been put together by Nailsworth Film Club. A delicious tea of sandwiches and cakes was provided, which was served by Rotary volunteers, and a raffle was included.

Nailsworth Rotary will be resuming the monthly lunches for seniors, especially those who feel isolated and would like to meet up with others for a meal and conversation. The lunches take place once a month, at the Arkell Centre, and provide a hot meal and pudding, and also a free raffle. The lunch is provided at cost.
