Wonderful Way To Start The Rotary Year

.

President Val was delighted to present a cheque for £500 to Jo, which will be passed on to The Alzheimer's Society. Jo is the daughter of one of the members of Eastleigh Rotary and earlier in the year had completed a parachute jump, raising money for the charity close to her heart.

By coincidence, one of new President Val's chosen charities is Dementia, so she was more than happy to make this donation on behalf of Eastleigh Rotary.

And although President Val refuses to even contemplate jumping from a plane when the engine is still running, she did volunteer, in front of many witnesses, to take a journey on a Zip Wire some time during her year. Not sure when or where this will be, but we will make sure she keeps to her pledge.
