A party of nearly 40 members, wives and partners visited Restore Hope, Latimer this afternoon.
And what an afternoon it was. The sun was shining. The setting was magnificent. Even the animals and chickens seemed to be enjoying themselves.
The afternoon began with a tour of the charity's facilities during which Gary and Jo explained the ways that they were trying to assist some of the most disadvantaged members of our community in these very difficult times.
Then on to the Old Dairy for a wonderful tea, an experience greatly enhanced by a talk by Gary Grant who gave us a fascinating insight into his remarkable life and how becoming a Christian had totally changed the way he did business.
The tea being a belated Jubilee celebration, we ended with a good old-fashioned sing song led by Elaine Brown on the piano.
