July 21 2022.

A record entry of 29 players attended the annual Boules Competition at Alan Folwells place .

The heats involved seven groups of four players, who strived for some 40 minutes on a very dry surface, until time was called and the elite group of heat winners (Derek, Adrian, Ian, Mike T, Mike C, Mike M and Rob) had emerged  A brutal but mercifully quick “devil take the hindmost” eliminator (modelled on the Tory leadership election) resulted in President Rob prevailing over all comers, and he was dully awarded a Bottle of Cremant.

After the gourmet meal of Hot Dogs and Ice Cream, everyone made the most of the warm evening and chatted until their drinks had all been consumed        AF
