Dunblane Cricket Club-developments in youth cricket in Dunblane

Alan Robertson with Andrew Hilley and President Craig Mair

The Rotary Club of Bridge of Allan and Dunblane welcomed Alan Robertson from the Dunblane Cricket Club as our speaker tonight. During a busy meeting members learned that the growing club already has 26 playing members and a target of running 4 age group teams. The club provides an available option for an affordable and local team sport and Alan informed Rotary members and guests that interest in cricket as a team sport in Dunblane was definitely on the increase. The Rotary Club of Bridge of Allan and Dunblane provided funding of £300 during lockdown which was used to buy an essential practice net. The cricket club has already raised Crowd funding of over £5000 to provide the running costs. The cricket club is always looking for volunteers at Dunblane Cricket Club | Facebook
