After the ceremony Eleanor said:-
"I am not often stuck for words but Hilary fairly achieved this for me when she presented me, on behalf of all of you in Ythan Valley, with a Paul Harris Fellowship today at our meeting.
With us all bathed in sunshine and celebrating a joyous afternoon swapping and selling plants, I was humbled and thrilled to receive the Award. No-one ever expects to receive such an honour for just "doing" Rotary.
Rotary has played a large part in my life and I have certainly enjoyed the last three years or so in the company of a super bunch of people. We are achieving so much.
So thank you all for this and to those who proposed and managed the Paul Harris application process. I am pretty overwhelmed".
With all good wishes,

Eleanor is the first member of YVR to receive this award and it is very much deserved.
Well done Eleanor.
