It’s nowhere near Christmas with the recent highest temperatures on record, but pubs, bars and restaurants are adding their support Kenilworth Rotary’s new Advent Calendar project which is a local fundraising venture to help local charities and needy causes. Offers of Christmas lunches and evening meals along with tickets to Rugby internationals are being donated by enthusiastic publicans and restaurant owners from all over the town.

Each Kenilworth Advent Calendar not only has a delightful picture of Kenilworth Castle in the snow but has 24 opening doors and from the 1st to 24 December five prizes can be won every day with values up to £250. Each calendar will have a unique number and throughout the period of Advent, five numbers will be drawn at random to win the prizes listed on that day. There will be a unique Kenilworth Advent Calendar website produced by a local company “LoudLocal” who will post the winning Advent Calendar prize winning numbers every day as well as being posted on notice boards in Talisman Square in central Kenilworth and other points of interest. Pubs and restaurants are also offering to sell the Rotary Kenilworth Advent Calendar to their customers.

The Rotary Club of Kenilworth is grateful to all our supporters and Ted at The Engine Pub in Mill End is proud to support and help the Kenilworth Rotary Club in raising funds for local charities and needy causes. Ted said “without the dedicated support and help of people like Rotary within our community, Kenilworth wouldn’t be the wonderful town to live in that it is.”
