Come December 1st, there’ll be prizes galore for lucky winners as the Kenilworth Advent Calendar gives away 5 prizes every day during Advent.  High Street businesses have contributed generously to make it all possible.  From Mike Vaughan Cycles, who donated a cycle light set, to Authentic Aesthetics and Classic Hair & Beauty who’ll enhance your appearance to The Virgins and Castle, offering Festive Gin and £50 towards a meal, there’s lots to choose from.  And if the run-up to Christmas is proving to be a bit of a strain, Warwick Physio and Rehab has donated a 30-minute physio session which ought to make you feel better.

They’re just some of the 120 prizes offered by Kenilworth’s High Street businesses towards Rotary’s latest fundraising offering – the Kenilworth Advent Calendar – which will go on sale on October 1st.  Every Calendar carries its own, unique number and every day during Advent, from 1-24 December, 5 of those numbers will be selected at random to win the prizes listed for that day.  Organised by the Rotary Club of Kenilworth, Calendars will sell for £5 each and the proceeds will go to local charities.

Zoe Myers of Authentic Aesthetics said: “What a great idea to give away prizes every day throughout Advent.  We also see the benefit of getting our name in front of 3000 potential customers just before Christmas.  Well done Kenilworth Rotary!  This fundraiser works for everyone.”

As Kenilworth’s mayor, Sam Louden-Cooke, said recently: “Money raised by organisations such as Rotary contribute to addressing gaps that government funds don’t stretch to.”

The Rotary Club of Kenilworth is also seeking volunteers who would enjoy working on this and other initiatives.  Individuals or businesses who would like to get involved should contact us at meetus@kenilworthrotary.org.uk
