Frugal supper

Wed, Nov 16th 2022 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The evening raised about £260 for Rotary Foundation.

The club’s meeting on 16 November 2022 was given over to Senlac Rotary’s annual Frugal Supper, an occasion when the club’s thoughts are directed to those who suffer poverty across the world. The funds raised on the evening are donated to Rotary Foundation, Rotary’s own charity and one of the largest In the world, which helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty. Supper, instead of the usual main dinner, was a bowl of leek and potato soup with a bread roll. However, this was supplemented, at a cost, by a small goody bag with additional snacks. Supper was followed by an indoor games session which was won by Ray Dixon with Ian Robinson taking the wooden spoon.

The evening raised about £260 for Rotary Foundation.
