Ukrainian National Day

A celebration in Methlick with our friends from Ukraine

Ythan Valley Rotarians worked with Methlick Community Council, the Ythanview Hotel in Methlick and the Haddo Estate in celebrating Ukrainian National Day with our local friends from the Ukraine.

The event took place at the Methlick Cricket Pitch and was attended by about 100 people from the local community as well as a number of Ukrainian families from Methlick / Inverurie and Ellon.

Traditional Ukrainian Borsht was served and enjoyed by all who attended along with some Beer, wine and soft drinks.

Members of the Ythan Valley Rotary attended the event dressed in traditional Ukrainian costume - some even manage to match Ukrainian costume with the Kilt

Our thanks go to all involved in this event and especially to our friends from Ukraine.
