Club Charter Night

Club received its charter

Becoming a new club in this day and age is an achievement in itself.  We are only the second club to be formed in this area in recent years.    Our charter night was as recent as the 25th April; a splendid event packed by 45 members, comprising of partners, friends and well wishers, representatives from other clubs and attended by our District Governor, Roger Stent.     Since then, as you will see below, we have had a full programme of activities which has shown us to be a thriving new Club, creating contacts and friends around the area and making a great impact. The loyal support of members of the Club made it an easy task to mount our activities and enhances the spirit of fellowship in the Club.

District Governor, Roger Stent, congratulated us on reaching Charter status with 23 members so quickly.  The path was far from smooth, but ultimately it only took under a year from initial steps to reaching this milestone.

We have also collected our new Club banners which we will use at our planned events this summer in the local area.
