DAAWAT PAKISTAN FLOOD APPEAL

Daawat means 'feast' and a splendid Pakistani banquet was prepared by Queensferry Rotarian Rashida Saeed  and her sister Shamshad, who is a member of the Kirkcaldy Rotary Club. The occasion was the Pakistan Flood Appeal Auction organised by Rashida and Rotary South Queensferry and held in Queensferry Hub on Sunday 20th November. Guests bid for an impressive array of lots ranging from  whisky and hand-crafted artwork to a tour of the Ferry Brewery and an Aston- Martin Experience. Helen Tulloch was an accomplished auctioneer and lots were knocked down in rapid succession. President Sandy Mackenzie thanked Rashida and Shamshad for the feast and arranging such an enjoyable afternoon. He also thanked everyone who had contributed lots to be auctioned and of course everyone who had bid in such an important and urgent cause.The total raised by this event was in excess of £2900.
