Senlac Rotary Club has added a new name to its membership list. Ray Dixon has transferred from the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour and was inducted into the Senlac club on 30 November 2022 by President Roger Young. Ray has brought a wealth of experience to the club having been very much involved within the Rotary organisation since he first joined in January 2000. Ray has previously been a member of Bexhill, Hastings and Sovereign Harbour Clubs and has served as Assistant District Governor, District Governor and Foundation Chair within District 1120, Rotary South East (UK) and Gibraltar. Over recent months Ray has been very much involved in advising and assisting Senlac Rotary in a bid to obtain a Global Grant for the Club’s Yellowmen’s work in Kenya. He was awarded Honorary Yellowman status and a Yellowmen T-shirt in recognition of his help. Ray, a retired Building Services Engineer, lives in Eastbourne with his wife Jenny who is an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour.
President Roger welcomed Ray into the club saying that Ray had long connections to the club over the years and he was more than delighted that Ray had decided to transfer. In reply, Ray said, “Senlac is and has been such a happy and welcoming club and does a great deal with its activities in which all the members take part. It’s good to be part of it now,”
