Hawick Rotary's Young Chef competition took place at Hawick High School

Rotary Young Chef competition took place at Hawick High School on the 15th December. Nine pupils took part producing a two course meal in two hours, on a budget limited to a maximum of £22. Kamila Raczynska from Adam's Kitchen and Mairhi Trickett had the difficult task of judging the two best meals. The two winners, Jessica Scott and Emma Rae will go forward to the Borders Area finals in the new year.

Rotary would like to thank Shona Murray and her staff in Home Economics Department and Stacey Grieve of Developing the Young Workforce for all their help in arranging the competition, and Adam's Kitchen, Barrie Knitwear, Johnstons of Elgin and Muirhall Energy who gave funding for the ingredients.
