Helen gave us a talk on the activities that the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts carry out in the Honiton community,

Every year they give members of Honiton Memory cafe a bulb in a pot so the person receiving them can nurture it and watch it grow.

Made posies for Honiton carers, have an Incredible . edible bed behind the Beehive Community Centre, anyone can help themselves to the produce grown there.

They provide gift bags of toiletries, toys, calendars  for the Food bank, They clean the memorial in Honiton prior to Armed Forces day and Memorial day.   Visit Abbeyfield and do crafts with the residents. Each year they plant purple flower for polio,

Took part in Sidmouth beach clean.

At the Jubilee lunch last year in Honiton High Street they had 106 people on their table which was amazing.

They have reached their target of £26,112 which was required for roof repairs, the Mullins trust which is folding gave a generous donation of £15,000.

President thanked Helen for her talk and presented her with a cheque for £500 for roof repair.

 

Induction of Terry Webb - President welcomed Terry to the club and presented him with a Rotary lapel pin, Terry thanked the members for the warm welcome he had received when he has attended meetings and helped with Community events.
