Club Assembly to be held at the Full Moon in Rudge

The club had their annual Club Assembly on 7th June 2023.

We held it at our usual meeting place, the Full Moon at Rudge, a busy, well frequented local(ish) hostelry who have been more than kind in accommodating us for quite a while now.

We had the honour of being hosts to Guy Parkinson from District 1200 and the Frome Selwood club.

Our President Elect, Elizabeth Webbe, spoke on her designs for the next year which, along with the thrust from District, will concentrate on membership.

Guy then spoke reinforcing his support for Elizabeth. He also spoke on the need to maintain the support at club level for Rotary Foundation.  He looks forward to his new role as District AG and mentioned the incoming District membership officer Dot Cretney.  She is well known to those that support Kids Out.

President reminded that the Westbury club has a high proportion of Sustaining Members and that Foundation will receive ca £500 from the recent Snowdon Challenge.

David Pike spoke reinforcing support for Elizabeth’s drive to increase membership, not an easy task.

Stan Wilson also spoke on the upcoming Countryville event run by Westbury Council.
