Senior RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a local youth residential leadership development course for 18 - 30 year olds, promoting self belief, personal accountability, organisation and teamwork.

Club members please log in for more information.

RYLA is a one-week residential course held every July at Brimpts Farm, Dartmeet on Dartmoor www.brimptsfarm.co.uk .

It is an intensive program of outdoor activities and tasks aimed at promoting positive leadership along with confident team building skills. It comprises a series of projects and talks from notable, well-respected and inspiring people. Our objective is to motivate and encourage candidates to develop their capabilities, with a strong emphasis on promoting self-belief, organisation, and personal responsibility.

The RYLA programme is well established having operated in over 25 countries for 35 plus years. Over 9,000 young people complete the course each year.

The course allows for a maximum of 30 candidates aged between 18 and 30, typically drawn from Rotary District 1175 ( Cornwall, Isles of Scilly, Devon and parts of Somerset ) but we do welcome candidates from outside this area.

A successful recruit will be enthusiastic, motivated and willing to push their own boundaries. This course will enhance their personal development and their potential for leadership.
