Karen informed us about Save a Pet

At our meeting on Thursday 2nd February, Karen Hayes came to speak to us about Save a Pet. Save a Pet is a local registered charity and Karen is the volunteer fund raiser. The charity has operated for around 30 years. Karen is enthusiastically working to raise the profile of the charity while encouraging individuals and organisations to give financial support. Pet owners may be on low incomes, out of work or have ill-health and the health needs of their pets cannot be met. Save a Pet when contacted by Vets to assist with cost of treatment, will approach the pet owner to determine how the treatment costs can be shared. Karen is developing fund raising projects by seeking donations, legacies and having collection boxes in a number of locations.

Save a Pet have a Facebook page which will be of interest to anyone seeking to learn more about the charity.
