THE MOSES PROJECT

The Project provides a Moses basket full of all the items both mother and baby need for the first few weeks of the baby's life.

Moses Project.

The Moses Project receives referrals from professionals working with families in need. It

provides a Moses basket full of all the items both mother and baby need for the first few weeks of the baby's life. Anything from clothes, nappies and blankets for the baby to sanitary protection and toiletries for the mother are provided.

The Moses Project identified an urgent requirement for these items from new mothers among families in need in the local area. Organisers have seen at first-hand the positive impact this initiative has on the lives of young families. Every basket delivered provides hope for the future as well as practical items for mother and baby.
The project is 100% volunteer run and relies entirely on donations. Volunteers purchase the supplies and assemble and deliver the baskets.
Baskets donated: 2021 – 103 and 2022 - 181, in addition, as the cost-of-living crisis continues to affect the Suffolk area they have found requests increasing and this includes Moses baskets for Ukrainian refugees.

Since 2021 the Rotary Club of Stowmarket Gipping Valley has donated £3,300 to the Moses Project.

This message was issued by The Forge Community Church relating to the Moses project and other projects we have given support to:-'

'A HUGE Thank you!
We are so grateful to the Rotary Club of Stowmarket Gipping Valley for their ongoing support of both the Moses Project and the Ukrainian refugees that we’re in touch with.  Last month, they gave a gift of £800 to the Forge to help families in need through these two projects.  In fact, over the past 9 years, they’ve donated over £7500 to Forge projects and it’s because of generosity like this that we’re able to make such a difference in the local community.  So thank you to the Rotary Club for your kindness and support.'
