Meet on The Rye - look for a Gazebo near to Pann Mill / Busy Bees

We are only a few days away from our PlasticBlitz cleanup. It should be a very pleasant day, so the risks are more from sun than rain. If you can join us, then this would be fantastic. I have a few more details about the event:

  • We will have a gazebo which will be located near to Pann Mill/Busy Bees. We will make our base there.
  • I have ordered litter picking equipment from the council, but if you have your own, then please bring it. I have also ordered bin bags, but I have no idea how many we will need.
  • Please bring gloves and appropriate footwear.
  • We will have a sign up sheet, so please find us when you arrive
  • We plan to take some photos, so if you don't wish to be photographed, please let me know
  • We will also be collecting data on what we pick up, so I will have a couple of clipboards so that we can collect this information
  • Please don't feel that you have to stay from 10:30-2pm. If you can only manage half an hour, that would be fine too.
  • We will be collecting rubbish along the river Wye, but we are not intending to get into the river
  • Please be cautious on what you pick up. We will have a box for sharp objects.
  • Do we have a First Aider? If so, please could you let me know.

Attached is the PlasticBlitz volunteer guide. Please read and digest!

We may be joined by members of the Friends of the Wye who are very pleased that we are doing this cleanup.

I will look forward to seeing any of you who can make it on Saturday.
Any questions, please let me know.
