88 golfers took to the splendid greens of the Bury St Edmunds Golf Club on a warm and sunny morning to raise funds for local Charities. With an early "shotgun start" the 22 teams of golfers teed off at 8am and were all back to the club house to enjoy a delicious lunch and welcoming speeches on this the 21st year of this successful event.

Organiser Brian Daniels said "It's been another really successful day thanks to all the golfers, the Rotarians and the Bury St Edmunds Golf Club. Brilliant."

Edward Crichton of Lacey Scott and Knights, led an entertaining and lively auction with bidding on golf days, golf clubs and signed sports memorabilia all under the hammer; contributing to the £3,000 raised for local charities.   

Ray Webber and Richard Hopper, Joint Presidents of the Club enthused over the benefits of Rotary; enjoying Fellowship, serving the Community and raising money for good causes.
