Young Musician National Final

National Finals at Royal Welsh College of Music, Cardiff

Great Britain and Ireland is home to some of the most talented young instrumentalists and vocalists in the world. Rotary GB&I celebrates this talent with a sequence of competitions that offer thousands of young people the chance to showcase their musical skills - classical and modern. The competition is open to 11 - 17 year olds.

**  National UK Finalists"

The two young musicians who will go on to the National UK Final in Cardiff on 6 May are Cristina Dimitrova (supported by The Rotary Club of Mendip), Instrumentalist, and Katherine Gregory (vocalist, supported by The Rotary Club of Redruth.

The instrumental runner up was Fred Bareham (supported by The Rotary Club of St Austell) and Greg Steward (supported by The Rotary Club of Taunton) was vocalist runner up. So D1200 has a National Finalist and a runner up – hooray! Cristina is an outstanding young violinist who won at both the Mendip Club’s competition and the D1200 competition at Cheddar; a number of us will go to Cardiff to cheer her on!
