Marc's Muppets Party On! 88
On a glorious summer day 7 teams of 4 took part in the 18 hole Herm Island Charity Rough Golf Open on Saturday 8 July 2017 in support of Autism Guernsey & the Rotary Club of Guernsey..
The first team, "C & D Carpenters", set off at 10.00 a.m. and all 7 teams had completed the course by 12.30.
After an excellent lunch, liquid or otherwise, prize giving took place at 2.30 p.m.
This fiercely contested event was won by the ladies of the "Wams Bams" with a score of 261. "Ellie's Devils" came second with a score of 270, and "Flower Power" came third with a score of 272.
All the teams said how much they enjoyed the event and looked forward to its return next year. They particularly enjoyed the quality of the organisation by Art & Jan Leadbeater assisted by Nigel & Jos Dorey and Margrit Bishop.
A magnificent £804 was raised for the 2 charities.
Finally, thanks are due to the Island of Herm Trustees and Management for allowing the event to go ahead.
