Donald MacKay's report to the 2009 AGM

Donald MacKay reported as follows:-.The largest event of the year was the Primary Quiz which attracted 9 teams. A large turnout of parents and supporters and a close run contest eventually saw Crossford Primary School emerge as winners. Crossford went on to represent us in the Zone Final and missed out by only 2 or 3 points from going through to the National Final at Oldmeldrum.

For the first time the club had an entrant in the Rotary Young Chef competition. Despite a last minute change of entrant, this was a successful event and consideration should now be given as to how the local Dunfermline clubs can best develop this event jointly.

Finally we have been seeking an entrant for the RYLA camp. This has been done on a joint basis with the Dunfermline Club. Yet again it has proved difficult to get the range of applicants that we would have wished. This year an attempt was made to attract entrants from Carnegie College and from those currently undergoing apprenticeship training.
