Cambridge Search and Rescue


Richard Morley, a Team Leader in Cambridge Search and Rescue was the Guest speaker at March Rotary Club on Monday the 25th October.

In a clear, concise, and informative talk, he explained how the Service was set up in August 2006, at the behest of the then Chief Constable of Cambridgeshire, coming into full operation the following April.

Some 30 volunteers, from all walks of life, but predominantly with a Service back round, make up the unit of this Lowland Rescue Service. Their skills and training, are geared to search for missing persons in this particular area, with its large open countryside and the ever present danger from water.
