Most of the members of Class IX accompanied by many of the host counsellors and members of the Host Area Committee, and partners, spent a most enjoyable weekend at the Rotary Centre at Castleton in Derbyshire at the beginning of February, 2011.

It poured with rain for most of the weekend, but that didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits.

The fellows were able to walk in the Peak District and visit the caves despite the terrible weather! Saturday night, after dinner, everyone listened to a very interesting job talk given by Kath Birkinshaw. Kath and her sister Andrea farm in some of the most remote parts of Derbyshire. Shepherding not only for her own farm Kath also works in and around other farms in the area. Kath takes along her camera whenever she is working and the photographs she has taken were absolutely stunning.
A very enjoyable weekend, excellent Rotary fellowship.
