On Saturday 26th November nearly 200 people took the opportunity to see what is one of the largest indoor '0' gauge model railways in Britain. The system is housed in a dedicated building on the Tedsmore Estate near West Felton and has been collected by proprietor Rotarian Robert Parker who said: "I was delighted to give so many enthusiasts an opportunity to see this layout and at the same time support local charities and other good causes through the Rotary Club of Oswestry, which will helped run the open day.
"The model represents some 10 miles of track, has five main-line stations and five minor stations. There is a harbour, a quarry and a dockyard. It runs 150 locomotives (ten or so trains running at a time) with around 1000 wagons and 500 coaches."
