Humanitarian Service Team

The Humanitarian Service Team is new for 2019/20, incorporating Home, International, Youth and Environmental.
Items include:

  • Rotary In Action: Helping Others in COVID-19.
  • Learn more about different types of defibrillators and when to use one from Community Heartbeat Trust.
  • Rotary supports the world as the Rotary Disaster Response Fund is helping to support communities in desperate need.
  • The Polio Team would be very pleased to join your club, group or district online meeting to talk about any aspect of Rotary’s work to End Polio forever.
  • President Donna and others are putting on a display of Teddy Bears in the windows of their homes as part of the worldwide Teddy Bear Hunt to put a smile on young people’s faces as they take their daily exercise.
  • Latest from the Environmental Sustainability Group, including the role of a District Environment Officer, and how you can do you bit to help combat climate change.

Public Image Team

Items include:
  • Join us and the family of Rotary at our first ever Virtual Convention - Now More Than Ever, Rotary Connects the World: The 2020 Rotary Virtual Convention, is taking place between June 20-26.
  • How to use your social media channels more effectively.
  • Speakers can easily adapt from face to face meetings to speaking at online meetings. The Speakers List is compiled of Rotary projects, Rotarians personal experiences and Rotary/non-Rotary charities.

Leadership, Development & Training Team Newsletter

Items include:
  • How the Learning, Development and Training (LDT) Team are keen to limit screen time to no more than 2 hours for our seminars and to make the events as interactive as we can.
  • Rotary has formed an alliance with Toastmasters. The first two courses in the new leadership and communication series are now available in The Learning Centre
  • Even during lockdown, it has been ‘business as usual’ for the LDT and Rotary GB&I Service Teams as we have continued to deliver training to incoming district officers, to prepare them for the Rotary year ahead.
