Few people on their visit to Kings Lynn can have failed to notice the huge building that has been erected alongside the River Ouse, which now carries the name, Palm Paper. This state of the art factory, built specifically to recycle old newspapers into a new clean product, was the subject of a talk given by Derek Harman, Co-Managing Director. of Palm Paper at the Rotary Club of March meeting upon the evening of Monday 19th of March.

The club had awaited his visit for nearly a year, such is the call upon his time, a period for which we were well rewarded by the informative, and at times humorous presentation.

Palm Paper is a Family Owned Business, founded in Germany in 1872, recycling paper even then, its headquarters being based in Aalen. Dr Wolfgang Palm is the 4th generation owner, and very much a
